New Light Congregation announces a second concert in the SING A NEW LIGHT series “Making Light: A Zoom Comedy Hour” scheduled for Thursday, August 27th at 8PM, honoring the victims of the Synagogue shooting on October 27, 2018. In this difficult time when public events are on hold, what better remedy to chase the stuck-at-home blues away than to laugh. Making Light brings the Borsch Belt to the comfort of your own home with five leading comedians to lighten the mood and celebrate the future, featuring :

SING A NEW LIGHT is an ongoing program to pay homage to  those souls who were killed in the October 27, 2018 shooting. 3 of the 11 victims Richard Gottfried, Daniel Stein and Melvin Wax were pillars of New Light Congregation, Dan and Rich formed the choir. To honor their memory, SING A NEW LIGHT will bring choirs to Pittsburgh to lift spirits and share their love of Jewish culture.
